Azad Consulting Planners and Architects

Azad International Consulting Planners and Architects, was found in 1988 by Azita Ghafouri as Managing Director and Hosain Sarrafha as Head of the board of Directors,both the main shareholers of the company,in Tehran,Iran.

The idea behind activating such a company is,to preserve the natural forms in architecture through planning and designing "Green" houses, buildings,complexes,cities and urban life. To this day,this purpose has been fulfilled through different projects being designed by "Azad Company".

[client : Mr. Momeni - 1998-1999] -- This project is a small house on roof of a four storey building in Tehran , Niyavaran area . First idea of the client was , to build a 80 M2 suite , but after challenging the idea , it came up with space of 186 m2 and a demi- etage of 44 m2 This house was not build with the same plan as the other levels , but was designed as an independent complete house with sloped roof , and with a balconies of surrounding hand rails of existing roof , to serve as four sides balconies . To design this house , the main factor was , to nutralize the existing fortress shape of the building . Though saving the independence of the added plan & sky line of the house , the whole would be more likely knowing housing rythm of the neighberhood . The final sloped roof covering is by copper sheets and the system for heating floors is by running super pipe tubes. Construction started an nov, 1998 and the house was completed by Dec , 1999 .

First idea of the client was , to build a 80 M2 suite , but after challenging the idea , it came up with space of 186 m2 and a demi- etage of 44 m2 This house was not build with the same plan as the other levels , but was designed as an independent complete house with sloped roof , and with a balconies of surrounding hand rails of existing roof , to serve as four sides balconies . To design this house , the main factor was , to nutralize the existing fortress shape of the building .
